Scenic Flights
Marlborough is a vast and diverse area at the top of New Zealand’s South Island. Renown for world famous vineyards, the picturesque Marlborough Sounds, snow capped mountains, rugged terrain, glacial lakes, nature reserves and the lagest cattle station in New Zealand.

The best way to see all of this and make the most of your time here is by air. The 2 hour drive to Molesworth Station is cut down to 35mins of flying time, a day trip to D’Urville Island is made possible by a 45min flight - enabling you to expereince Marlborough to the full.

At Omaka we are fortunate to operate in uncontrolled airspace (with controlled airspace of Woodbourne only a short distance away). With a mixture of mountain, coastal and pastural terrain, a variety of aircraft, and dubbed New Zealand’s sunshine capital, flying here can be as challeging or as gentle as you want it to be!
During September and October, we will be offering special non-member rates on 30min flights – 2 day courses for you to fulfil your flying ambitions. Experience strip landings, mountain flying, tail draggers, scenic flying over the Marlborough Sounds from just $220 p/h dual.
Don’t forget that NZ flying hours can be logged if you’re working towards your PPL/CPL in Australia.
